Today we will go for a day’s excursion to Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. This will be your introduction to Tibetan Buddhism along with history and culture of Ladakh. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.
Today we set off for our two days’ excursion to Sham Valley. Due to richness of its greenery and fruits, this valley is also known as the apricot valley. We will drive to Alchi via Likir Monastery. We will visit Alchi Monastic Complex, which is known as Ajanta of the Himalayas for the breathtaking paintings and frescoes very much intact even after more than 1000 years. We will continue to Tingmosgang for the overnight stay.
Today after breakfast we will set off to visit Lamayuru Monastery. It is one of the oldest Monasteries in Ladakh. Enroute we will drive through the famous ‘moonland’, the scenic beauty of the place will enthrall you to core. After visiting Lamayuru Monastery, we will continue to Leh via Basgo Fort. Basgo was an ancient capital of Ladakh. Overnight Hotel.
Drive to Nubra Valley, crossing over the highest motor-able road in the world, KhardunglaPass(18380ft) Evening visit the Sand Dunes at Hundar. Optional Camel Safari. Overnight Camp/Hotel.
Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Turtuk Village. This pristine village on the border towards Pakistan was once a part of Pakistan and later annexed by India. Turtuk is known for its scenic beauty and for its different and unique Balti culture. We will drive back to Hunder in the evening. Overnight at Hotel/Camp.
Today we will drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via the Shayok route. This newly opened route along the Shayok River is one of the most fascinating drives in Ladakh. The serenity and tranquility of Pangong Lake will mesmerize you in every aspect. Enjoy a nice walk along the Lake in the evening. Overnight at Camp/Resort.
In the morning we are at leisure to explore the beauty of the Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass. Reach Leh by lunch so that you can have some time in the evening to grab some souvenirs for your friends/family back home. Overnight at Hotel.
You will be escorted to Leh Airport for your onward flight. Tour Ends.
