Our expedition then moves toward the breathtaking Nubra Valley, often celebrated as Ladakh’s “Valley of Flowers.” Crossing the legendary Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic mountain views. In Nubra, enjoy a rare ride on double-humped Bactrian camels, visit the impressive Diskit Monastery with its towering Maitreya Buddha statue, and take a memorable day excursion to the charming Turtuk Village, known for its unique culture and scenic beauty.
The highlight of the journey awaits at the magnificent Pangong Lake, the crown jewel of Ladakh. Itinerary ( 8 days )
Arrive Leh
Arrive in Leh. You will be received and escorted to your hotel by our representative. Complete rest is suggested for the first day. It is important for you to get acclimatized so that you can enjoy the rest of the days without any problem. Overnight at Hotel.
Excursion of Sangam, Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame.
Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Sangam, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. We will make a stop at Magnetic Hill on the way. On our way back to Leh we will visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Spituk Monastery, and Hall of Fame, a museum maintained by the Indian Army showcasing the military history in Ladakh. Visit Shanti Stupa in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.
Leh- Nubra Valley.
Today after breakfast we will start our drive to Nubra Valley, crossing over one of the highest motor-able roads in the world, Khardungla Pass (18380ft). From Khardungla Pass we can see the beautiful villages dotted along the Indus River on the Leh side and the mighty mountains of the East Karakoram belt on the Nubra side. We will make stops at all viewpoints along the beautiful route. En route, we will visit Deskit Monastery and the highest statue in Ladakh- Maitreya Statue. In the evening visit the Sand Dunes at Hunder. Optional Camel Safari at the sand dunes. Overnight at Hotel/Camp.
Hunder- Turtuk – Hunder.
Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Turtuk Village. This pristine village on the border towards Pakistan was once a part of Pakistan and later annexed by India. Turtuk is known for its scenic beauty and for its different and unique Balti culture. We will drive back to Hunder in the evening. Overnight at Hotel/Camp.
Nubra Valley- Pangong Lake.
Today we will drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via the Shayok route. This newly opened route along the Shayok River is one of the most fascinating drives in Ladakh. The serenity and tranquility of Pangong Lake will mesmerize you in every aspect. Enjoy a nice walk along the Lake in the evening. Overnight at Camp/Resort.
Pangong Lake – Leh.
In the morning we are at leisure to explore the beauty of the Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass. Reach Leh by lunch so that you can have some time in the evening to grab some souvenirs for your friends/family back home. Overnight at Hotel.
Excursion of Shey and Thiksey.
Today we will go for a day’s excursion to Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. This will be your introduction to Tibetan Buddhism along with history and culture of Ladakh. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa. Overnight Hotel.
Fly from Leh to Delhi.
You will be escorted to Leh Airport for your onward flight. Tour Ends.
